Volunteer

The Carmel Clay Historical Society has a broad range of opportunities for people to get involved. For those who like a regular schedule of participation, serving as a Monon Depot Museum conductor (or guide) on weekends is a great idea.

One opportunity is a social/service group, CCHS League of Volunteers. This group of good people are needed throughout the year as museum guides and event volunteers. This is about a commitment of about 12 hours through the year.

A one-day commitment more to your liking? We can accommodate that, too. Our Holiday Home Tour is one of our largest volunteer undertakings each year, for which we need guides and volunteers to prepare for the event. And we can always use help with Scout groups and walking tours. Volunteers will work with the Scout on hands-on activities, crafts, talking about Carmel history and leading tours. We even have opportunities for volunteers to help assemble other mailings, which provide wonderful chances to meet other CCHS members.

Our Spring Tea and Holiday Home Tour are the major fundraisers for the CCHS and we need energetic, organized people to help make those events happen.

We always appreciate office assistants who could help working on the computers, send mailings to current and prospective members, and cleaning collections areas.
